TAMPA, FL – The biggest names in freestyle music and throwbacks, “Iconic Ladies of the Eighties” Exposé, “The King of Freestyle” Stevie B. and “The Queen of Freestyle” Lisa Lisa, will perform their biggest rhythmic dance hits during the Freestyle Explosion Throwback Jam at Tampa’s AMALIE Arena on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.

The tour also includes pop and freestyle stars Sweet Sensation starring Betty Dee, TKA K 7, Will To Power, Lime, George Lamond and Nocera.

Singer, songwriter and producer Stevie B, who was influential in the Latin freestyle music scene of the late 1980s, is best known for his No. 1 ballad, “Because I Love You,” along with his mega hits “Spring Love,” “Party Your Body,” "Dreaming of Love” and “I Wanna Be The One.”

Lisa Lisa rose to fame with certified Gold single, “I Wonder If I Take You Home,” along with other huge songs like “Can You Feel The Beat,” “Lost In Emotion,” “All Cried Out” and "Head to Toe," which was released with her band Cult Jam.

Exposé hits include “Point of No Return,” “Come Go with Me,” “Seasons Change” and “Let Me Be The One” to name a few. In March of 2015, Billboard magazine named Exposé the eighth most successful girl group of all time.

Will To Power recorded several hit singles on the Billboard dance and pop charts in the late 1980s and early 1990s, most notably "Baby, I Love Your Way/Freebird Medley," a medley of 1970s hits by Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd that reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 1988. A second band hit was "I'm Not in Love," a cover of 10cc's 1975 hit, No. 7 on Billboard Hot 100 in 1990.

Lime joins the tour for the first time and will perform their biggest hits like the 1981 smash song “Your Love,” which was a Gold record and a No. 1 Billboard Disco-chart hit in the US. In 1982, Lime released their second album, Lime II, featuring the single "Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight," which reached No. 6 on the Billboard Dance Chart.

TKA K7 is the still one of the best-selling Latin freestyle bands in history. The trio was prominent in the 1980s and early 1990s, particularly in New York City, Chicago, Miami, Philly and Orlando. Original members  Louis "Kayel” Sharpe (K7) and Ralph "Aby" Cruz are still performing their big hits “One Way Love,” “Louder Than Love," “Maria,” “Tear’s May Fall” and Come Baby Come" together.

George Lamond is an American freestyle music and salsa music singer. Lamond has released seven albums between 1989 and 2014. He is best known for his 1989 No. 25 Billboard debut, "Bad of the Heart" and his No. 1 salsa smash, "Que Te Vas.” Full of soul and high energy, Lamond is also known for getting people up and out of their seats to dance the night away.

Sweet Sensation starring Betty Dee, is a female freestyle-dance music trio from The Bronx. The group was formed in 1986 and released albums until 1992, including such hits as “Hooked On You,” “Take It While It’s Hot,” "If Wishes Came True" and "Sincerely Yours."

Nocera also known as Lulu Nocera, is a Sicilian-American club DJ and a trip hop, pop and freestyle singer. She is probably best known for her 1986 freestyle hits "Summertime Summertime" and "Let's Go."
